Blake Lively has been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons these past few weeks, as she has been slammed for her inappropriate and “tone deaf” promotion of her movie It Ends With Us, which is an emotional story about domestic violence from the perspective of a victim.
She has also been called out for several other things, including promoting her haircare line at the same time as the movie, feuding with director Justin Baldoni, and for “fat shaming” a reporter in a resurfaced interview from 2016. However, it seems like she isn’t letting all the negativity affect her, as she was spotted looking happy and “unbothered,” to quote one fan on social media, while strolling in NYC with her husband Ryan Reynolds. Check out some pictures here.
Blake Lively Looks Effortlessly Stylish In Double Denim Ensemble While Strolling In NYC
For a casual stroll in the Big Apple with her husband, who is also the father of her four children, Blake rocked a baggy pair of mid-rise jeans and paired them with a matching loose denim jacket.
The jacket was worn open to reveal the casual gray printed sweater she was wearing underneath. She finished off the look with some casual pink and green sneakers and round sunglasses, while her hair was worn in a casual down do.
The Gossip Girl alum has been wearing a lot of florals during her It Ends With Us promo trail, in reference to her character Lily Bloom being a florist. Although we have loved her floral ensembles, it’s nice to see her wearing something a little bit different too.
Fan Comments
Social media had quite a lot to say about the pictures of Blake and the Deadpool & Wolverine actor’s New York City stroll, with many people thinking their outing was in aid of doing damage control following all the It Ends With Us backlash.
“You know times are desperate when they’re pulling out the staged pap photos,” quipped one fan on a Just Jared Instagram post, followed by the crying laughing emoji. “Super natural and not staged at all these pics,” echoed a second fan, followed by the side eye emoji, as a third said: “PR team working hard.”
“She’s unbothered,” added a fourth, as another fan thought that Blake and Ryan should now be left alone following the controversy. “Good for them. Leave them alone,” wrote one fan, adding: “The amount of bullying the last month is getting ridiculous. People in social media need to practice what they preach.”
“Well good for them. Even if their careers are over, they’d still have each other to lean on,” said another fan. “Still the same lovely couple. Nothing’s ever gonna change that. I love them, no matter what,” added another.
