Blake Lively is tuning out the noise and stepping back into the spotlight!

On Friday, the It Ends With Us actress joined Anna Kendrick in Austin, Texas, for the premiere of Another Simple Favor at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival. The two stars reunited for the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor.

While posing on the red carpet, the Blake Brown founder wore a latex two-piece by Renée Massoomian. The vintage-inspired dress featured a mauve hue with a corset-style bodice that fastened in the front and a flowing midi skirt.

Delicate black floral embroidery adorned the lace-trimmed hem, while a slim black belt cinched the waist for a flattering silhouette. She completed the look with black open-toe heels, featuring an ankle strap and elegant fabric flower accents.

Much of the social media buzz centered around Blake’s bold decision to promote her new movie amid her highly publicized lawsuit with It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

Another viral moment from the premiere came when Anna Kendrick was asked about working with Blake again—her response was noticeably shady.

While Lively praised working with Anna as "the best,” Kendrick had a noticeably different response. She sarcastically replied, “Oh, you know,” before continuing down the carpet to take photos with fans, avoiding any further elaboration.

A Simple Favor Director Paul Feig Shuts Down Blake Lively & Anna Kendrick Feud Rumors

However, director Paul Feig denies any tension among the co-stars. YouTuber Melanie King claimed on X that Anna "never wants to work with [Lively] again.” This caused Feig to reply to the tweet, saying, “Um…you’re wrong.”

Kendrick told PEOPLE back in October, “[Blake] lives on the East Coast, I live on the West Coast, so we don't get to see each other often. But it was lovely, and I think that those characters have such weird chemistry that it's so fun to just get the gang back together. And it does feel a little bit like riding a bike.”
