Atelier Versace, 2018
The A Simple Favor star put the red in red carpet when she attended the 2018 Met Gala, which had the "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" theme, in an intricate gold and crimson custom Atelier Versace gown with sheer thigh-high slits on both legs and one of the most dramatic trains in existence! Blake told Vogue that the dress, which reportedly took over 600 hours to make, was her "favorite dress ever." And it’s not hard to see why!
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants alum accessorized the show-stopping dress with a spiky headpiece and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, and finished off with Christian Louboutin heels. Perfection!

Gucci, 2014
2014 was a special Met Gala for the Age of Adaline star, as the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" event also marked her and Ryan Reynolds' red carpet debut as a couple! But Blake would have stolen the show regardless, as she exuded old Hollywood glamour in a stunning form-fitting Gucci Première gown with a plunging front and a long train, which was elevated even further with her elegant old Hollywood waves and bold red lipstick.
Although the train turned heads for all the right reasons, Blake admitted that it wasn’t the most practical, telling People at the time: "I love a train but then when I get on these stairs, I'm like, 'Why am I wearing a train?'" Her red accessories complemented the pink tone of the dress perfectly, making this a red carpet Met Gala look that will go down in history!
Burberry, 2016
One of her most romantic Met Gala looks came in 2016 for the "Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" theme, when she wore a stunning pink and red silk organza Burberry dress complete with a train with hand-sewn petal detailing. And again, Blake matched the steps perfectly!
The All I See Is You actress was pregnant with her second child at the time, and we guess it's true what they say about that pregnancy glow, because Blake was well and truly glowing on the red carpet in her bump-flattering dress! Christopher Bailey, who designed the dress, told Vogue at the time: "Blake looks incredible this evening. She radiates confidence and grace. Designing her dress was great fun." The Green Lantern actress wore her hair in an elegant updo, and added smoky eyes and a bold red lip to balance out the very feminine and ethereal look. She let her rose gold Lorraine Schwartz earrings command all of the attention by opting to forgo a necklace and bracelets.

Custom Versace, 2022
Did we save the best 'til last? We think that Blake's Met Gala looks get better every year, so it’s not surprising to see last year's look on our list of favorites! Blake pulled out all the stops last year for the "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" theme, as she and husband Ryan Reynolds also served as co-chairs alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The Shallows actress wore her most head-turning look yet – a custom Versace gown that was inspired by the Statue of Liberty! It was a two-in-one look which started off with a bronze-colored bow that then unraveled to reveal a green one (which matched perfectly with the opera gloves she quickly switched to when it was time for the outfit change) inspired by the oxidation process of the real Statue of Liberty! The front of the dress was also reportedly inspired by the architecture of New York City, including the Empire State building, while E!'s Zanna Roberts Rassi said the green train was “embroidered with a celestial map inspired by the same 12 zodiac constellations that are painted on the ceiling of Grand Central Station.” Wow! Could she possibly top this look next month? Only time will tell!
