Blake Lively Slammed For Telling A Fan That A Gifted Bracelet ‘Doesn’t Go With’ Her Outfit In Viral Video: ‘Regina George Vibes’

Blake Lively is facing criticism from fans for her seemingly “disrespectful” and “dismissive” behavior upon receiving a friendship bracelet at the London premiere of her film, It Ends With Us, last month. In video footage that has emerged, an unidentified fan hands the Age of Adaline actress, 37, a pink beaded bracelet.
Though she expresses her thanks, the Gossip Girl alum quickly passes the bracelet to someone nearby, stating that it “didn’t go with” her outfit. This remark from Lively has struck some viewers as “rude,” drawing comparisons to Regina George, the quintessential “mean girl” character from the 2004 film, Mean Girls.
As seen in the above clip (uploaded to TikTok by @allocine), Lively tells the gift-giving fan: “Thank you so much. That’s so sweet. I’m going to put it here because it doesn’t go with my outfit, but I will wear it later.” In contrast, Isabela Ferrer, Lively’s co-star, promptly adorns her wrist with the friendship bracelet upon receiving it. “Thank you! Oh my God, I’m going to put it on,” she conversely tells the fan.
Commenters beneath the widely viewed and shared TikTok post criticized Lively both for her response and for not noticing that the pink bracelet actually matched her pink earrings. “The way it actually FITS her whole outfit lmaooo,” one wrote as another replied: “Regina George vibes.” Someone else added: “I will wear it later. Yeah ok.” An additional user similarly reacted: “It actually does go with her outfit tho hahahah.”
In recent weeks, Lively has faced considerable backlash for actions perceived as “tone deaf” and “out of touch.” Critics have particularly targeted the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress for launching a haircare line and promoting her new film, It Ends With Us, which deals with domestic violence but has been marketed with a tone akin to a romantic comedy.
Amid this controversy, a 2016 interview also resurfaced last month, featuring Lively, her co-star Parker Posey, and journalist Kjersti Flaa discussing the Woody Allen film Cafe Society. Many viewers of the clip continue to accuse Lively of being “rude” and “fat-shaming” the reporter. Flaa, 51, recently uploaded her interview with Lively to YouTube, titling it: “The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job.”
