Blake Shelton is getting candid about his past efforts to reduce his alcohol consumption, and just revealed that his resolution for 2024 is to strive for sobriety.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the country superstar, 47, expressed his desire to achieve this goal within the next year.
Since the interview’s release, numerous fans have expressed their support for Shelton, applauding his efforts to improve his well-being.
Blake Shelton Reveals His 2024 Resolution: Cutting Back On Alcohol
"I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. That’s been, you know, even cutting back has been hard," he told the outlet. The former Voice coach added: "I mean, it’s a resolution though. And I’ll say it again right now — that’s my New Year’s resolution, is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let’s just say I said it."
The "God's Country" crooner's resolution is a shared one with many fans, as seen on Instagram. Following the festive season, many commit to a widely embraced practice referred to as Dry January.
This annual movement urges people to refrain from drinking throughout the month of January with the aim of enhancing their overall health.
Beneath an Instagram post about Shelton's sobriety wishes shared by Today, many fans began sharing their similar resolutions in support of him.
"Go for it. You can do it. No need for alcohol to be fun and happy," one wrote as another added: "I stand by you." Someone else replied: "You can do it Blake… you’ll feel so much better."
One other referred to his three stepsons whom he is raising with wife Gwen Stefani, writing: "I am so proud of you, Blake you are setting a wonderful example for those boys."
Shelton and Stefani, 54, began dating in November 2015 after meeting as coaches on NBC's The Voice and officially tied the knot in July 2021. Stefani shares her three sons (Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 9) with her ex Gavin Rossdale.

Regarding his New Year's Eve plans, Shelton also dished to Entertainment Tonight that he usually has a cozier idea rather than a night out.
"If [Gwen and I are] at home during New Year's Eve, we're probably going to bed before it even happens," he said.
Since Shelton is set to perform at the upcoming "New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash" event along with fellow country singers like Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce, perhaps he'll have the best of both worlds — time to party it up and chill with his wife later on!
