Blank Street Adds Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew to the Menu
Although we typically associate fall with cooler weather that calls for a warm drink to wrap our hands around, the reality is that October usually gives us more than a few warm days. So when you want to enjoy the flavors of fall without breaking a sweat, a seasonal iced drink is always a good option. And while a classic iced latte is never a bad idea, there's no denying that sometimes nothing can compare to the smooth, bold taste of cold brew. That's why I nearly jumped for joy when I heard that Blank Street added a Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew to their fall lineup.
But what is a shaken pumpkin spice cold brew, exactly? You can think of it as a latte made with cold brew. Blank Street's Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew adds a shot of concentrated cold brew to the milk of your choice (I find oat adds the perfect, creamy flavor) and mixes in the pumpkin pie spice flavors we know and love. It's all topped off with cinnamon. Yum!
How does Blank Street's Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew taste?
Okay, so is the Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew as good as it sounds? If you love a good sweet treat in the fall, I think you'll love this drink. In fact, it's one of the tastiest pumpkin spice drinks I've tasted yet. The cold brew is smooth and delicious, and it blended perfectly into the creamy oat milk. Although the pumpkin spice flavor may be a tad sweet for some people (it definitely veers sweet over spicy), I liked the fact that it felt like I was indulging in something akin to pumpkin pie in coffee form, and I didn't find it to be too sickly sweet like some other pumpkin spice lattes are.
The Shaken Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew is the perfect beverage for a sunny fall day. It's now one of my go-to options for when the leaves are changing but it's still warm enough to enjoy an iced drink. Pair it with your favorite pastry (maybe something from Costco's bakery section?) and you'll have just about everything you need to embrace a fall morning.
