Blues Hog Sweet and Savory Seasoning Recall
Baron Spices of St. Louis, Missouri, is recalling 708 6.25 oz plastic bottles of Blues Hog Sweet and Savory Seasoning because it could contain undeclared wheat and soy. These recalled products pose a potential life-threatening risk to consumers with allergies or sensitivities.
Baron Spices says that while the original version of this seasoning did not contain wheat or soy, a supplier provided a replacement ingredient and failed to disclose the allergens.
The affected products were distributed across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia. The recalled bottles are labeled with lot numbers 034-363 and 034-364.
Although there have currently been no reports of illnesses linked to the seasoning, it's important to take recalls like this seriously. If you or someone in your household is allergic to wheat or soy and you bought one of these bottles, the FDA urges you to discard the product or return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
You can contact Barons Spices at 1-800-622-2190 with questions or concerns.
Staying on top of recalls like this is an important part of keeping you and your family safe.
Other recent recalls include mislabeled candies and pre-packaged Kroger salads.
