The report was centered around the fact that the Inamorata Swim founder had caught Pitt's eyes whenever their paths had crossed at industry events, but that her relationship status had been very much "taken" (she and Bear-McClard welcomed son Sylvester Apollo last year).
This week, additional reports are confirming the low key romance, with The News writing this week that the "Fight Club" superstar saw his opening following after waiting in the wings for years.
"Brad was crushing on Emily at the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar party," the source revealed. If you recall, Pitt was celebrating his win in the Best Supporting Actor category for "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood." Emily made headlines of her own that night, appearing on the red carpet for the exclusive VF party wearing an ab-baring white two-piece set. We're not at all surprised if she caught his eye that night!
And now that Bear-McClard is no longer in the picture after having "multiple" affairs during their short marriage (ew!), Pitt has seemingly made his move.
"He asked her out, and she said yes. She's always though Brad was cute, and the way she saw it, what did she have to lose?" pointed out the insider.
The paper also notes that this couple could possibly compete with Hollywood's currently golden couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. We agree!
The "Lost City" producer's rep denied the news to the publication, but considering that this relationship is still in the early stages, it's unlikely that there would be confirmation now. We can't wait to watch this relationship unfold!

And unfold it has, as new reports are suggesting that the pair seem to be spending a lot of time together; although it’s too early to say whether they want to make anything official, as sources have said that Brad has "been seen with other people" in recent months too.
"People have been speculating about this for a while," an insider shared with Page Six. "Brad is not dating anybody. They have been seen a couple times together," the source added, telling eager Brad and Emrata shippers to "Stay tuned!"
We don’t know much about Brad and Emily's dates, but we do know that they are somewhat casual as both of them are in the middle of very public (and very messy!) break-ups! Brad has reportedly not made a big deal out of any of his relationships since he split with Angelina Jolie, as he wants to avoid any unnecessary confrontation with the children, Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and 14-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
"Brad has quietly dated the last couple of years. He worries that Angelina will badmouth him to their kids, more than she already has, if he has a serious girlfriend," a source told Page Six, before going on to say that he is also aware of Emily's "drama," and therefore wants to keep things as casual and drama-free as possible.
"Emily is hot mama, but Brad knows she has a lot of drama involving her divorce," the source added. "He has enough of his own drama."
