Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s multi-year, multi-lawsuit divorce hasn’t done much for either of their reputations. As each party launches accusations at one another in attempts to win their court cases, they might not have thought about the long term effects of their long term divorce.
Now, 8 years down the line, Brad Pitt is reportedly getting worried about his reputation, and according to sources close to him, he’s “desperate to repair his image.” Keep reading for more information.
Brad Pitt's Reputation Is Destroyed
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once shared a family of eight, and during one fateful private plane ride back in 2016, Jolie alleges that Pitt physically and verbally abused both her and their children. She recalls that Brad "choked one of the children and struck another in the face," as well as poured beer on both her and the kids.
She also reported that Pitt insulted Jolie and "grabbed her by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her by the shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall." Consequently, Pitt was investigated by the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services. However, in October, the the FBI closed their investigation without bringing any charges to the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor. Yet just because the FBI dropped the case doesn't mean the masses have forgotten those accusations.
Brad Pitt Wants To 'Repair His Image'
Now that things are on their way towards settling in terms of their divorce, Brad Pitt reportedly wants to turn over a new leaf, starting with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. "He wants to come across as a serious, stable guy, and having Ines around certainly reinforces that," said a source to OK Magazine. They added that Pitt is just about "desperate to repair his image."
While much of Hollywood is still divided over who's side to take in this lengthy divorce battle, it seems that only one party is still trying to win people over, while the other is taking the route of (pretending?) not to care. Only time will tell.
