Losing weight in the thighs is as important for heart health as belly fat, a recent study just found.

While many of us have believed that weight in our mid-section was an indicator of heart disease and illness down the line, it turns out that we should be worried about fat in our lower half, too. According to the Journal of the American Heart Association, losing leg fat was *just as important* as losing abdominal fat for lowering cholesterol.

“You can’t control where you lose the weight," Tanya Zuckerbrot, MS, RD, and creator of popular F-Factor Diet explains. But you can choose foods that promote weight loss all over.

If you're concerned that your thighs may be contributing to your hearth health, we've rounded up the best breakfast foods that Tanya recommends you should eat immediately for weight loss. Incorporate them into your diet this week by adding them to your grocery list, stocking your fridge and reaching for them instead of the unhealthier alternatives all week:

Fiber One + Greek Yogurt + Berries. According to Tanya's popular diet program the F Factor Diet, fiber when eaten alongside lean protein, is the ultimate weight loss food.

Egg white vegetable omelet with fiber crackers. Although the Fiber cereal is your best bet for weight loss, and should be eaten most days, another great fiber and lean protein combination is an egg white omelet loaded with fiber-rich veggies and eaten alongside GG Fiber Crackers, the only crackers that have the same amount of carbohydrates to fiber grams, making them a 0 net carb food. This is a good dish to have for breakfast occasionally or on the weekends.

F-Factor 20/20 Smoothies. Lastly, Tanya recommends the smoothies from her own product line. This mixed berry smoothie has 47 grams of carbohydrates and a whopping 24 grams of fiber. Your thighs will thank you!
