1. Avocado

There's so much to love about avocado; it's versatile, delicious, and, according to Richards, it's also one of the best foods you can eat regularly if you want to lose weight. Incredible! She says this fruit is "packed with essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamin K, vitamin C, vitamin E, and potassium." Additionally, they're "an excellent source of heart-healthy monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which can help lower bad cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease." The high fiber content of avocado will also help improve digestion and keep you feeling full longer, which means you'll be less likely to overeat later in the day if you add a bit to your breakfast. "Whether added to a salad, spread on toast, or used as a healthy fat in cooking, avocados offer numerous health benefits that make them a great addition to any diet," she says.

2. Pomegranate

Pomegranates are another nutrient-rich superfood you can eat every morning. Nanavati tells us that they're especially high in antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and other compounds that "protect the body from free radicals that can cause damage and inflammation." This is great news for anyone trying to lose weight, as keeping inflammation at bay is an essential part of shedding pounds. Additionally, "Pomegranates can help balance hormones, reduce cholesterol, and control blood sugar levels which are all key components of maintaining a healthy weight," Nanavati says. Nice!

3. Oatmeal

If you're looking for a tasty, hearty breakfast that can fill you up and help you lose weight, look no further than some high-fiber oatmeal, which Wen says is "one of the healthiest and most nourishing superfoods you can have for breakfast." This is largely due to the fact that oatmeal is highly satiating. "Oatmeal provides slow-burning carbohydrates for longer energy release as well as plenty of fiber, vitamins, and minerals; this helps keep you fuller for longer," she explains. Another great thing about oatmeal is its versatility; you can fill it with tons of nutritious ingredients, including berries, nuts, and nut butters, all of which can aid healthy weight loss. Yum!
