March 20, 2019, might have marked the official First Day of Spring, but there are still plenty of dull, dry winter skin days ahead of us. Still stuck on how to boost your skin’s hydration and enhance its radiance during these remaining cold-weather days? All you need is a good brightening night cream! “All day long our skin is exposed to a constant barrage of sun, free radicals, pollution, and more,” says Boston-based dermatologist Emmy Graber, M.D. “The overnight hours are when it finally gets a reprieve.” There are a lot of amazing brightening night creams for dry skin, but we haven’t found one that delivers the same lit-from-within glow as Youth To The People’s new Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask, an overnight mask that deeply hydrates, plumps, and brightens with powerful, antioxidant-rich ingredients.
How Often Should You Use A Night Mask?Incorporating an overnight mask into your nighttime skin routine is one of the best things you can do if you suffer from dry or dull skin. “Typically formulated for overnight use, sleeping masks are meant to be massaged onto the skin, allowing time for your skin to be soothed and more intensely hydrated. Ingredients in sleeping masks are mild enough for your skin to tolerate overnight,” board-certified dermatologist Dr. David Lortscher tells Dermstore.

Dr. Toral Patel, a Chicago-based dermatologist, says overnight masks are easy to integrate into an existing skincare regimen and suggests applying it after your go-to facial serum or oil as a means to lock in all of its skin-healthy ingredients. Some formulas can even be used in place of a moisturizer. Dr. Lortscher notes that those with dry skin can benefit from using an overnight mask several times throughout the week, especially in the winter. “Ideally, sleeping masks should be used two to three times a week, but you can use it in place of your moisturizer as long as your skin can tolerate it,” he explains.
