Britney Spears Allegedly Getting 'Close' To Ex-Housekeeper with 'Criminal Past'
Page Six first reported the possible romance in late August, with a source revealing to the publication that Britney had formed a bond with her ex-house worker, and stating they were "concerned" about the situation. The source also shared that Paul had originally been hired in 2022 to work at the singer's home to "clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash," and had been employed without a background check...which would have revealed an "extensive criminal past."
Upon a dive into Soliz's history, Page Six found he had been previously charged with multiple misdemeanors and a felony; once for disturbing the peace, once for child endangerment (which was dismissed due to a plea negotiation), driving without a license and driving with a suspended license (also dismissed due to plea). Paul's most recent encounter with the law came while in the employ of Spears, when he was convicted of felony possession of a firearm in December of last year. This conviction apparently led to Soliz being let go from the position at Britney's home—but, possibly, not so from Britney's heart.
An insider confirmed that Soliz and Spears had been romantically involved at some point, but there have been conflicting claims from sources on whether the pair are still dating amid the "Toxic" singer's divorce from husband Sam Asghari, to whom she has been married only a little over a year. One associate of the songstress claimed as of September 14th that the two were still an item; while another said they are "not dating" any longer as of Brit's return from Mexico. Yet another source told The Daily Mail that the duo had a "short fling" but are now "no longer" in communication—so who knows! Perhaps only Britney and Paul themselves.
Brit's Divorce From Sam Asghari Still Ongoing
After reports hit the press that Britney's husband, Sam Asghari, had confronted the "Oops...I Did It Again" singer with accusations of infidelity, resulting in a massive fight, news broke that the two would be splitting up when Sam filed for divorce in August after just 14 months of marriage. The couple were hitched in June of 2022, after nearly 6 years of dating. Sam cited "irreconcilable differences" in his petition for divorce, and also requested spousal support and payment for attorney's fees from the pop songstress.
It also seems Asghari is looking to modify the couple's existing prenup, which maintained Britney's assets as a separate property from Sam's. The divorce documents from Sam's camp note, "[Sam] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party...There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time."
The pair's official date of separation, via the court filing, was July 28th, 2023—barely a month past their 1-year wedding anniversary.
