Concerns over Britney Spears only seem to be growing, and the singer’s social media activity has definitely not been easing anyone’s worries.
Most recently, the 38-year-old showed off a new look on Instagram, and, in the caption, she even admitted that she “got carried away.” The picture shows Britney relaxing against a yellow backdrop in a tiny snakeskin bikini, but what is most noticeable about the photo is the fact that the singer is almost completely covered in henna tattoos.

This post is just one of the many that has raised concerns from fans and critics alike.
One user noticed the henna pattern, writing, “So many of the patches of henna look like skulls sideways…”
However, most concern seemed directed toward the photo's confusing caption: "So I got carried away with henna !!!! I think I’m going for a bohemian look in the second picture …. not sure what my hands on my hips are about!! I guess I’m demanding attention !!!!"
One Instagram user responded, "Britney tell us if you're ok."
Another wrote, "I was never a huge fan but this is breaking my heart. Something just isn't right. Her family should be ashamed."
With the #FreeBritney movement in full swing, people have been waiting for Britney to speak out.
In fact, a recent Q&A with Spears on Instagram received criticism when it did not address her fans' concerns, instead answering less pressing questions like her favorite Disney movie which is Frozen for anyone wondering. Considering Britney prefaced the video with a promise to answer "all [the fans'] questions," fans were left confused and worried.
The most urgent question--if Britney was okay--remained unanswered.
Celebrities, including Ruby Rose, commented on the video, alluding to the fact that Britney did not address the #FreeBritney movement at all. Rose wrote simply, "I have a different question."
Considering that Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her father, Jamie Spears, have both commented on the movement--either directly or indirectly--Britney's silence is concerning for many fans who are wondering why the singer would not speak about it herself.
