Britney Spears has been dominating the headlines over the past few days, as fans are showing huge concern for her mental health following some “disturbing” incidents at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 1st and Thursday, May 2nd.
According to TMZ, an unknown person claimed that a “woman matching Britney’s description was harassing and threatening hotel employees and guests.” Police officers reportedly showed up shortly after 10:30 PM on Wednesday after receiving calls of a “disturbance,” but left after spotting no signs of trouble. However, things seemed to take a turn for the worse a few hours later, as paramedics were reportedly called in the early hours of Thursday morning after the 42-year-old The Woman in Me author had allegedly gotten into a physical altercation with her on/off boyfriend Paul Soliz. She appeared to have hurt her leg, but it’s currently unknown how it happened or if it was related to the alleged altercation.
TMZ wrote that their sources claimed that “Britney was screaming and ‘out of control’ in the hallway of her suite, and several guests thought she was having a mental breakdown.” The pub went on to say that paramedics were called to tend to an “injured person,” and reportedly arrived around 12:40 AM.
Pap pictures and videos show the Crossroads actress walking out of the hotel barefoot and clutching a pillow, with a blanket wrapped around her. The pub reported that she didn’t get into the ambulance and left the hotel with her security, leaving her on/off boyfriend behind.
An eyewitness reportedly told Entertainment Tonight: “Britney came out with Paul Richard Soliz and some others. Someone gave her a blanket to throw over and she had a pillow covering her front. She took a few steps and turned around and went back, not getting into the stretcher they had brought out.” Two insiders have since confirmed that the “Piece of Me” singer is “safe and at home,” as per NBC News.
