Although Britney Spears fought very hard to rid herself of her 13-year conservatorship, insiders close to the “Toxic” hitmaker reportedly are desperate for her to be placed under another conservatorship as soon as possible for the safety of herself and other people.
If you’ll recall, the 42-year-old “Piece of Me” singer’s conservatorship ended in 2021 without her requiring any further mental evaluation, and she was once again in charge of her estate and her career. However, TMZ reports that the Crossroads actress‘s inner circle fear that her mental health has seriously declined since her conservatorship ended, and are begging for her to be placed under another one sooner rather than later.
Sources Close To Britney Reportedly Think Ending Her Conservatorship Was A Mistake
The mom-of-two has been worrying fans and those close to her for quite some time – not just with her troubling Instagram posts, but most recently with her controversial behavior at Chateau Marmont with her new boyfriend, Paul Soliz. TMZ wrote at the time that their sources claimed that "Britney was screaming and 'out of control' in the hallway of her suite, and several guests thought she was having a mental breakdown."
Following the Chateau Marmont incident with her new boyfriend – who is reportedly a convicted felon with around 10 children – many sources reportedly told TMZ that ending Britney's conservatorship was a "mistake." However, they admitted that her father, Jamie Spears, was not the right person to be in charge of things then, and he certainly shouldn't be now. Therefore, if she is placed under another conservatorship, it's likely that someone else will be running things; we just don't yet know who.
Britney Spears Is Reportedly Not Taking Her Medication To Stay Stabilized
According to a May 20th TMZ article, insiders close to the pop star say that she is not taking the medication that is needed for her to stay stabilized, hence her alleged "out of control" behavior. Her inner circle has also alleged that she is drinking and taking drugs, although this hasn't been confirmed at the time of writing. The latter is particularly troubling though, as the "Womanizer" singer has a history of substance abuse, and has been to rehab several times over the years.
TMZ also writes: "We're told Britney has radical mood swings and often goes into rages that end in physical violence. There are times we're told it's impossible to communicate with her because she can't engage in rational conversation." This seems to echo the reports that were written about Spears and Soliz, who is reportedly now running her life and household, getting into a physical altercation at Chateau Marmont earlier this month, resulting in cops and paramedics being called.
The outlet ended their article by writing: "Every source we've spoken with says… if things continue the way they have been going, Britney is in grave danger."
