Britney Spears‘ mother, Lynne, 67, is breaking her silence as rumors continue to swirl that she is amid an ongoing feud with her pop star daughter. Last week, the “Hold Me Closer” singer, 40, posted a now-deleted YouTube audio clip for her millions of followers, in which she can be heard saying that she felt abandoned by her mother. Throughout her 13-year conservatorship, Spears expressed that she needed her mother’s support and did not find it.
Soon after, Lynne posted a photo of herself and Britney in an older, black-and-white photo of the two smiling. In her IG post caption, Lynne wrote, “Britney, your whole life I have tried my best to support your dreams and wishes!” She added, “also, I have tried my best to help you out of hardships! I have never and will never turn my back on you!”
She continued, “Your rejections to the countless times I have flown out and calls make me feel hopeless! I have tried everything. I love you so much, but this talk is for you and me only , eye to eye, in private.”

In the audio clip, the “Toxic” hitmaker hinted to feeling like her mother had backstabbed her as her traumatic conservatorship was imposed by her father, Jamie, 68. Lynne, however, said that she feels rejected by Britney in this situation, and instead stressed that her daughter should come to her for reconciliation.
Britney Spears uploaded a 22 min audio (now deleted) to her YT channel talking about her conservatorship.
And just like with her court testimony, I’m left shattered and with no words.

The Grammy winner shocked fans in the clip when she opened up about feeling “more angry” with her mother, rather than her former conservator, her father. “I heard when reporters would call her [Lynne] at the time and ask questions of what was going on, she would innocently hide in the house and she wouldn’t speak up,” Britney said.

While Lynne’s IG post has its comments currently turned off, fans have left words of wisdom elsewhere, encouraging her to “make up with her daughter,” and defending Britney, urging Lynne to “own up to her mistakes.” Some have tagged Britney, telling her to “speak with her mom” while others have noted they feel Britney has “been through enough” and that it’s her mother’s responsibility to “reach out and not just post to her daughter online,” as another fan wrote.
