Brooke Shields Is Electric In A ‘Barbiecore’ Pink Dress
What is “Barbiecore?” It’s the internet’s latest aesthetic trend that’s taking over the runway, the red carpet, and TikTok. Barbiecore consists of bright, bold, and monochromatic (usually hot pink) clothes. It’s unashamedly feminine and fun, just like the iconic children’s doll, Barbie. If you’re not sure how to dress Barbiecore, just wear anything that you’d see on the fabulous doll herself. The trend has been made even more popular by Greta Gerwig’s film Barbie starring Margot Robbie, which is scheduled to be released on July 21, 2023.
Celebrities like Kate Hudson, Megan Fox, Jennifer Lawrence, and now Brooke Shields at the National Board of Reviews, have rocked the Barbiecore trend recently. Shields paired the Barbie-pink dress with matching heels. She wore her signature long caramel locks in loose waves and kept her makeup light. Shields embraced the pink color scheme with a rosy blush and pink lips. The actress added a pair of studious thick black-framed glasses to complete her look.
In her Instagram post from the night, Brookes had five images in the carousel showing off her beautiful dress. She also posed with celebrities like Daniel Craig (James Bond!!) and Jenny Slate and Dean Fleischer Camp, of Marcel The Shell With Shoes On.
