One of the most classic hairstyles for girls is the bun. You can get creative and do it in a bunch of different styles, or just leave it perfectly messy. One of the worst mistakes you can do is have your hair in a bun everyday. Keeping your hair up constantly will cause strands of your hair to break or pull out, so let your hair down!

Putting your hair in a bun when it's wet is never a good idea. The strands of your hair are weaker when they're wet, and they are more at-risk for breakage and damage. If you want to give your bun a wet look, try investing in a shine spray!

Although putting your hair in a bun overnight after a trip to the hair salon will help preserve the style, it can cause some serious damage to your hair! You should always sleep with your hair down to avoid tugging at your roots, causing breakage and splitting. If you're dead-set on sleeping with your hair up, use satin or silk pillowcases instead of cotton to allow your hair to glide around better, causing less friction and tugging.

Making your bun too tight can also cause breakage and splitting! Keeping your hair too tight in a bun is basically straining your roots, causing them to pull out or break. Keep your bun looser to keep strands from pulling out!
