Burger King Customer Reveals 2022 Ad

User @Quill_Chaser on TikTok posted a video to their page showing a coupon from May 2022. The coupon lists the Whopper Meal For Two, which includes 2 small Whopper Sandwiches, 2 Small French Fries, and 2 Small Soft Drinks for a total of $8.99.

“Look at this,” they began the video, holding up the coupon. “$8.99 coupon for a Whopper Meal For Two.” They then zoomed in on the expiration date, which is listed as May 1, 2022, and said, “And now it’s $14.99! That is a huge jump.” And to be sure, they added a screenshot from their Burger King app for the same meal, but listed for $14.99 instead.

Burger King Customers Are Outraged

In the comment section of the video, hundreds of other users and Burger King customers expressed their outrage at the price increase. "Yes I just noticed that too," one person commented. "Fast food is no longer cheap, it's just fast."

"Yup the chicken sandwich deal was $4 now it's $8," another person added.

"+25% margin of profit for the corporations," one person pointed out. "No more inflation, this is corporate greed!"

"Greedflation!" another customer agreed.

"Because people KEEP supporting these companies," another said. "Of course they will increase profits. Stop eating at BK!"

"33% increase each year!" a final customer said. "That's crazy."
