One Redditor asked: "so [is it] a grilled cheese?" Another replied: "Well it's not grilled in any way... so no." Someone else on Twitter joked: "Did they just have a bunch of cheese they needed to get rid of?" One other wrote: '#1 Worst fast food item ever thought of." One BK customer wondered: "What were they thinking?"

On July 9th, Burger King Thailand wrote in a Facebook post along with a photo of the new "burger": "This is no joke. This is for real." In Thailand, the chain is owned by Minor International, a local hospitality group that CNN dubs "one of Asia's largest restaurant owners."

This also isn't the first time that Burger King Thailand has gone viral for a "strange" or "weird" menu item, according to fans. On July 18th, the company introduced a "Real Meat Burger" composed of only meat (starting with three beef patties, but customers can add as many as they like).

So, we wonder, do these even qualify as burgers?  It seems BK enthusiasts on Reddit and Twitter keep debating over this same thing.
