We have some sad news for frugal fans of Burger King‘s 2 for $5 Mix n’ Match deal. As of last Monday, June 27, the bargain has been replaced with a new deal that will cost you one extra dollar. That’s right: This meal deal is now officially the 2 for $6 Mix n’ Match. Say it ain’t so!
And it isn’t just the price that’s changing, either. Eligible menu items have also been switched around. Customers may be especially sad to hear that Chicken Fries are no longer offered as part of this promotion, and have instead been swapped with the new Impossible King Sandwich.

The Impossible King Sandwich is one of two new plant-based options being offered by the fast food restaurant, along with the Impossible Southwest Bacon Whopper. Just as it sounds, it’s a classic Quarter Pound King burger with a vegetarian twist: an Impossible patty. The sandwich features everything else you’d get on the typical Quarter Pound King, including two slices of American cheese, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
In addition to the Impossible King, the new Mix n’ Match deal also includes the Big King, Big Fish, Original Chicken Sandwich, and Single Quarter Pound King. And while it may be sad that the price has been raised, vegetarian customers should be happy to know that getting any two of these items for $6 is actually cheaper than getting a single Impossible King, which comes in at $6.29. Why not get two for the price of one?!
