Burger King is coming in hot to the New Year with brand new menu items. Most notable? The Shroom n’ Swiss melt, a new take on the classic Whopper Melts. After testing it in select locations last years, customers lucky enough to try it are posting raving reviews on social media, and those who haven’t yet tried it are on the edge of their seats. Keep reading for more information.

Burger King Shroom N’ Swiss Melt

While the Whopper Melt itself isn’t anything new—the Classic Melt and the Bacon Melt have been on the menu before—the Shroom n’ Swiss Melt is a brand new addition. Here’s Burger King’s description of the item:

“Burger King’s Shroom n’ Swiss Melt features two flame-grilled Whopper Jr. patties (2 oz each) for 1/4 lb. of pre-cooked patty weight, melty Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms, and Royal Onion Sauce on two slices of toasted bread.”

Sounds pretty good to us! The sandwich will go for $5.99 and is a whopping (no pun intended) 640 calories for the sandwich on its own. For $3 more, you can get a small drink and a side included.

Customers Rave Over Burger King Shroom N' Swiss Melt

Many customers have taken to social media to share their reviews of the new melt. "Shroom N Swiss melt at @BurgKing confirmed good," wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

Another user on X described the sandwich as "delicious," while another said, "I'd try it. Count me in."

"Mmmm. Looks BKlicious!" another user posted.

"That BK shroom n swiss is calling to me," said one person.

However, there were a few users who were less than impressed by the sandwich: "I've never been less appetized to eat something than this shroom n' swiss monstrosity from Burger King," one user wrote.

"Disappointing," another user commented. "I expected better."

"If you eat the burger King shroom n Swiss melt voluntarily you are one of the nastiest freaks alive," a third user wrote.

"At BK, that's a no way," another user joked, referencing the famous Burger King jingle: "At BK, have it your way!"
