Burger King just added a new item to their menu that definitely has people talking. The Ugly Beef Burger, which has been added to BK’s menus in Japan, replaces their buns with cheese–making for an uglier, but still delicious burger. Although the burger might not look as appetizing, it is definitely worth a try if it makes its way over to the United States.
Keep reading for all the details on this latest addition to Burger King’s menu!
The Ugly Beef Burger's bun is made of four cheeses, making for a messier but more flavorful meal.
According to Mashed, the four cheeses that make up the Ugly Beef Burger's bun are gouda, egmant, mozzarella, and cheddar. Essentially, it's the perfect menu item for cheese lovers.
Considering the majority of the bun is made from cheese, you can expect every bite to be delicious and flavorful.
According to Sona News, for this burger, "only a third of the dough usually used for buns, with the rest of the weight made up in delicious cheese."
In between the cheesy buns, the burger itself contains a beef patty, more cheddar, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise, and ketchup.
With that in mind, if you like a bit of extra cheesiness with each bite, it's definitely a menu item you'll want to order. Finger's crossed it makes its way to the US soon!
For now, the Ugly Beef Burger is available in Japan for a limited time, costing 740 yen or US $6.97.
