We have bad news to fans of Burger King‘s $5 Your Way Meal: your favorite value menu deal is now going to cost you a dollar more. But don’t get too upset! There’s some slightly good news, too: there will be more food involved, if that counts for anything.
That’s right, folks. The $5 Your Way Meal, which has been a popular deal since mid-April, is now the $6 Your Way Meal—doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, does it? But, luckily, you’ll still be getting a decent bang for your buck with the new adjustment.

When it only cost a frugal $5, the Your Way Meal already offered a great amount of food. It packed in a Double Whopper Jr., 4-piece Nuggets, small French fries, and small drink. But now there’s even more to enjoy. The new $6 Your Way Deal offers a choice of a Rodeo Double Cheeseburger or Bacon Double Cheeseburger, 9-piece Chicken Fries, and Value Fries. Not bad at all!

If you ask us, the upgrade from chicken nuggets to chicken fries is especially exciting. Chicken fries are a cult favorite at Burger King, and they’re not always on the menu—so maybe we can consider this addition to the deal a bit of a luxury.
Still though, if the price was the main selling point on this value menu deal for you, we’re sorry to break the news. It seems five bucks just can’t get you what it used to anymore, In fact, Burger King isn’t the only fast food chain to switch up their value menu on us recently.
For example, Wendy’s has started to phase out their ever-popular 4 for $4 out by offering more options with their $5 Biggie Bag. While the 4 for $4 is still available, it doesn’t give you all the same options it used to; now customers are just confined to a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger when it comes to their choice (or lack of choice) of sandwich, unless they want to drop that extra dollar on the Biggie Bag.
Hey, at least we can always count on the dollar menu at McDonald’s. For now, that is.
