Cameron Diaz And Benji Madden Announce Son's Birth On Instagram
Baby Cardinal is the second child for the Back in Action actress and the Good Charlotte musician, as they welcomed four-year-old daughter Raddix back in early 2020.
The now parents-of-two didn't share any pictures of the new addition to their family; and we don't think they will any time soon, as their Instagram statement confirmed that they want to protect the privacy of both of their children and will therefore be keeping them off social media and out of the public eye. However, the statement confirmed that baby Cardinal is "really cute," which we don't doubt for a second!
Alongside some colorful artwork with the words, "A little bird whispered to me," they captioned the post: "We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son, Cardinal Madden."
"He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!" the post continued. "For the kids' safety and privacy we won't be posting any pictures – but he's really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our fam to yours. Best wishes and Good Afternoon!!" The message ended with a rock on emoji and a lightning bolt emoji.
They shared a similar social media message with their followers when they welcomed daughter Raddix, writing at the time: "We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden. She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family."
Fan Comments
Naturally the comments section of Cameron and Benji's post was filled with congratulatory messages from famous friends and fans alike! "Another earth angel," Katy Perry wrote in the comments section, followed by a red heart emoji. Benji's brother and Good Charlotte bandmate Joel Madden, who is married to Nicole Richie, dropped five red heart emojis.
"Does he know his mother is an icon? Congrats!" exclaimed one fan. "Congratulations! Being an older parent isn't for the weak, God Bless," commented another. "Such a magical moment, life just keeps getting better," gushed another fan. "Congratulations. Wonderful news. Thanks for sharing," wrote another fan.
