Cameron Diaz just got some seriously disappointing news.

The retired actress has stayed out of the spotlight for the most part, only returning recently to launch her new venture in the alcohol business. Diaz and business partner Katherine Power worked together to create Avaline wines.

Unfortunately, it seems that they still have work to do if they want this new business to be a success.

According to The New York Post, a recent survey of 400 households rated celebrity wines ranked Diaz's Avaline white wine low. In fact, out of the celebrity wines, it ranked the lowest, receiving a "D-rating."

With that in mind, at $24 per bottle, Avaline wine might not be worth your money--at least according to critics.

The clean wine brand is receiving some harsh criticism across the board, with Felicity Carter, the editor-in-chief of Meininger’s Wine Business International magazine, explaining, "Wine is not a wellness potion."

Writing for The Guardian, Carter continues, "When it comes to clean wine, the only thing being cleaned is your wallet."

Although some think celebrities should stay out of the wine business altogether, if you do want to give a celebrity white wine a try, it might be best to stick to the higher-ranked choices.

In the survey, the top-rated wines were from from Dave Matthews and Sting. The Dreaming Tree Chardonnay 2018 (Dave Matthews) and Il Palagio Roxanne Toscana Bianco 2018 (Sting and Trudie Styler) were the favorites among survey participants.

While the critics might not appreciate Diaz's attempt to make a "clean" wine, social media users seem to be happy with the product.

One commented on the company's Instagram, "I just tried the Rose. It was very good." Another wrote, "Just had my first glass of this perfection in a bottle. Beyond impressed! Cannot wait to try more."
