Since confirming her retirement for acting in 2018, Cameron Diaz has kept a pretty low profile.
In fact, besides welcoming a daughter, Radix, with husband Benji Madden earlier this year, Diaz has stayed almost entirely out of the press. However, it looks like the 47-year-old might be ready to return to the spotlight–at least slightly–with the introduction of her new wine brand, Avaline.
Diaz launched the new venture with longtime pal and founder of Who What Wear, Katherine Power. She announced the launch with her very first TikTok, practicing the viral wine challenge–and you have to see the video!

In an interview with Travel + Leisure, Diaz explained why she decided to start the wine brand.
She explained, "[I]n our day-to-day lives we made the effort to consume organic foods and use clean products. So when we found out what might be in the wine we were drinking, we wanted to make sure that we found wines that were free from those ingredients and most importantly made from organically farmed grapes. But we found it really difficult to identify those wines unless we went to specialty wine shops."
So, they decided to create one themselves: "We wanted to create a wine that not only met the standards for all other products we consumed; we also wanted to make it accessible and identifiable."
They also made a point to keep their wine delicious. Diaz explained, "Along with the wine having to meet the standards of being organically grown grapes and the absolute minimal ingredients used in the winemaking process. We knew that if the wines were not delicious it wouldn't matter what standards we toted. Being able to provide a product to consumers that we both know so well is very gratifying."
As of right now, the wine brand is selling one white and one rosé at $24 a bottle. It's available at retail stores nationwide--and could be a great option if you want to know exactly what is in your wine.
The Avaline website explains, "Avaline [is] a range of clean wines that are full of natural goodness and free from dozens of unwanted and undisclosed extras. It’s wine at its purest, created with discerning drinkers (and friends) in mind, who embrace the pleasure of a whole life and a relaxed approach to wellbeing."
Whether they're discerning drinkers or not, people are definitely excited about Avaline. Their Instagram page already has 48K followers, and some celebrities have copied the elaborate wine challenge, including Dakota and Elle Fanning.
