Cameron Diaz just made her long-anticipated comeback to the silver screen, co-starring with Jamie Foxx in Netflix’s Back in Action. This month, fans on social media continue to marvel over the Holiday star’s “ageless” and “timeless” beauty. We’ve compiled red carpet photos of the Charlie’s Angels alum, 52, from 1998 to 2025 to showcase her stunning evolution.

Additionally, we’re sharing insights into Diaz’s skincare routine and her decision to stop getting Botox injections over the years. Diaz previously told Goop that she keeps a minimal and simple regimen when it comes to her skin. ““I have a face oil and a retinol from Versed, and that’s about it,” she said. “When I get up in the morning, I run my skin under the water in the shower—I don’t even use a cleanser in the mornings.”

Cameron Diaz's 1998 Photos Compared To Recent Ones Highlight Her Stunning Transformation

Diaz gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Tina Carlyle in the 1994 comedy The Mask, alongside Jim Carrey. She later achieved success in romantic comedies such as My Best Friend's Wedding in 1997 and There's Something About Mary in 1998. Diaz later branched out into action, fantasy, and dramatic genres. In addition to her acting talent, she also became known as a beauty and style icon.

Regarding her relationship with makeup over the years, she recently told Goop: "I’ve been wearing makeup every day for most of my life, because of work, and it was really depleting to my skin," she said. "I always had a breakout. And since I stopped wearing a lot of it, in my 40s—obviously I’m older, too, but I was getting breakouts well into my 40s—I like my skin much better."

The mom of two (who shares sons Raddix, 4, and Cardinal, 10 months, with her husband Benji Madden), is reportedly relieved she never got caught up in the trend of facial injectables, as a source told Ok! last year. "It’s no secret Cameron used to get a little bit of work, just like everybody else in her industry she was under pressure to get Botox and all that stuff," the insider said.

They added: "But she hated how it changed her face and swore off it years ago and it’s really paid off because she looks fantastic and very natural, unlike a lot of her peers."

The insider also noted that Diaz "feels quite sorry for some of those peers that she’s still in touch with when she meets them for lunch and sees their faces contorted, full of fillers and looking puffy and weird." The source went on: "Everyone has noticed Cameron's happy healthy glow, and she always credits her laidback lifestyle out of the spotlight." They also told the outlet: "For the most part she's totally over Hollywood, and all the superficiality."

The Bad Teacher alum apparently believes that "taking care" of herself "from the inside out" has paid off. "She accepts that she is going to age and doesn’t try to stay frozen in time. She eats a very healthy whole foods diet but doesn’t deprive herself, she just makes good choices," the tipster continued.

They also shared: "When she wants a dessert, she makes sure it’s made with quality organic ingredients. That’s why her wine brand is organic, she really believes in avoiding pesticides and toxic chemicals." The Avaline mogul does get "regular facials" and "laser treatments." However, the insider stressed that she is "not pumping her face with Botox or filler," as "she’s very against that."

As per The Hollywood Reporter, at the Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in October 2024, Diaz shared that she had to “push” herself to un-retire after spending cherished moments with her family. She acknowledged that she had the option to stay at home with her family indefinitely following the pandemic.

However, with the encouragement of her husband, Madden, 45, she ultimately chose to return to her acting career. "It was just the right time for my family. After COVID, we were in the house for a long time, which was amazing and the problem was we would probably stay there, we would still be there right now," she explained.

"People would be like, 'It’s over,' and I'd be like, 'No it’s not, it’s not over for me.'" Diaz continued: "So I had to push myself; my husband and I — my husband, who is the best — he was like, 'You’ve been supporting us and building the family' and supporting him in his businesses, he’s like, 'It’s time for us to support you and let Mommy ascend and do her thing.' He’s like, 'Let me see you do it girl.' I was like, 'Alright, here we go.'"

Ultimately, it's clear that Diaz's natural beauty, attentiveness, straightforward yet efficient skincare regimen, and the harmony and backing from her family contribute to her glowing complexion!
