Quinoa is a food you've definitely tried to incorporate into your diet for weight loss before. But, it looks like it's best to have this carb before bed if you want to lose weight.
"Quinoa is an excellent carb to eat for weight loss," says Regina Fazzini, R.D. "It's high in protein and dietary fiber, which will help you feel full and get your metabolism sped up to burn calories efficiently. It's also low in calories, so its the perfect food to have before bed if you need a little snack."
But, is eating before bed really a good way to lose weight? Apparently it is! It's never good to skip a meal, because that leads to your blood sugar crashing and your body storing calories as fat instead of burning them. "By eating the proper portions of healthy foods, your blood sugar stabilizes and allows your fat burning hormone, glucagon, will take care of the weight loss part," Fazzini says.
