Carrie Underwood truly turned heads when she walked the 56th Annual CMA Awards red carpet at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on November 9th – as her dress was one of the most breathtaking pieces of the whole night! We would expect nothing less!
The 39-year-old “Hate My Heart” singer floated onto the red carpet in a grey blue ruched dress, which not only featured a daring plunging front with sheer paneling, but of course, featured a thigh high slit on one side to unveil Carrie’s trademark toned, sculpted legs. Or leg, more accurately! The dress also featured a feminine, frilly, off-the-shoulder sleeve, and a modest train which followed her around the red carpet. What a masterpiece!
The country music sensation, who walked the red carpet with husband Mike Fisher, who looked extremely dapper in a blue suit and black tie, accessorized her look with heels in a matching grey blue shade, as well as Natalie Mills earrings and an Angara ring. She left her neck bare so as not to distract from the detailing of the dress, which we think was the perfect styling decision! Carrie wore her blonde hair in a glamorous wavy down do, with one side occasionally tucked behind her ear to reveal her sparkling earrings.
Carrie Honors Loretta Lynn And Alan JacksonAlthough the “Ghost Story” singer didn’t win any of the awards she was nominated for – Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year – due to the fiercely stiff competition, fans still saw a lot of her on the stage, as she paid tribute to late country music legend Loretta Lynn, alongside Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert, as well as Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Alan Jackson, alongside Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi and Lainey Wilson.
(Wilson actually took home the Female Vocalist of the Year award, while Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde won the Musical Event of the Year award for “Never Wanted to Be That Girl” and Luke Combs won the coveted Entertainer of the Year award.)
Carrie wore a stunning green and pink gown when she took to the stage to perform Lynn’s “You Ain’t Woman Enough” before she was joined by Lambert and McEntire, who both performed their own solo tribute performances to Lynn.
Carrie returned to the stage to perform her brand new single, “Hate My Heart,” and chose an edgy black outfit which consisted of her signature leg-revealing short-shorts, a black jacket covered in fringe, and studded black ankle boots, while her body seemed to be dripping in gold and silver embellishments, with a red heart on the side encased in barbed wire. Carrie goes all out with her performance looks, and this was no exception!
