Carrie Underwood and her toned, supermodel-rivaling legs are back, as the 39-year-old country music singer proudly put them on display on the CMT Awards red carpet at Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee on Monday, April 11th. We will never get tired of the “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer’s super-mini dresses and the enviable legs she reveals when she wears them, hence why we were delighted when she walked onto the red carpet in a stunning purple Dolce and Gabbana piece that undoubtedly turned heads!
The “Ghost Story” singer, who was serving Josie and the Pussycats realness on the red carpet, must have known that purple was her color, following on from the jaw-dropping purple dress she wore on stage at the Grammys earlier this month; so we’re glad to see that she has given the color another moment in the spotlight! Carrie teamed her purple and black leopard print sparkly dress – which came complete with a daring slit to make it *even* sexier – with some platform black heels, a black clutch bag, black and purple smoky eye makeup, and a soft, nude lip, while her signature blonde locks were worn in an effortless, side swept style, with loose waves.
But it wasn’t just her leg-revealing outfit that got people talking, as the "Before He Cheats" singer made history by breaking her own record when she won her 24th and 25th CMT Music Awards. Carrie won the first award of the evening, the 'Collaborative Video of the Year' award for her song "If I Didn't Love You" with Jason Aldean, and also walked away with the coveted 'Video of the Year' award at the end of the night – considered to be the biggest accolade of the awards ceremony – for the same song.
Underwood and Aldean had very stiff competition for the latter award, beating the likes of Brandi Carlile ("Right On Time"), Kacey Musgraves ("Justified"), Kelsea Ballerini feat. Kenny Chesney ("Half of My Hometown"), Luke Combs ("Forever After All"), Maren Morris ("Circles Around This Town"), Miranda Lambert ("If I Was a Cowboy") and Taylor Swift feat. Chris Stapleton ("I Bet You Think About Me, Taylor’s Version") among others for the coveted prize.
Carrie didn’t hesitate to thank her fans and the CMTs for awarding her the evening's top accolade, saying: "We already thanked everybody that works on the video and thanked each other; this one is all about the fans, so thank you fans, thank you CMTs." Congratulations to Carrie on her big, history-making win!
