Watch Carrie Underwood Open For Guns N’ Roses And Crush A Cover Of Motörhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’ As Fans Go Wild

It’s no secret that Carrie Underwood is a total vocal powerhouse, and this month, she has been proving it to fans outside her signature country genre! While opening for select Guns N’ Roses shows across North America over the past few weeks, the “Hate My Heart” singer, 40, continues to show off her musical versatility and epic concert style.

Recently, concertgoers in Montreal, Quebec, Canada were treated to an “epic” cover of Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades” from Underwood during her set. The audience was “in awe,” as seen from comments on social media, as they watched her flawlessly transition from her signature country hits to covers of classic rock anthems with infectious energy.

On August 8th, Underwood wowed the audience with her rendition of “Ace of Spades,” complete with raspy, gritty vocals, soaring high notes and an unshakable, impeccable tone. As seen in fan-shot footage, many in the crowd whistled, clapped, cheered and sang along, showing that the “Before He Cheats” hitmaker knows how to rile up a rock crowd just as much as a country one!

The 1980 metal song, originally sung by Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister, is no easy feat when covering. Underwood uploaded a photo collection post from her performance for her 12.8 million followers, and fans were quick to commend her cover as well as her eye-catching outfit.

"You rock Carrie," one wrote with heart-eye emojis as another added that she can truly "sing anything." Someone else commented: "You can ROCK any concert off their seats!!!!" as one other expressed their wishes for a "rock album from Carrie." Many also complimented her "gorgeous" ensemble and love for the "silver denim and fringe" that she donned.

The Grammy winner previously garnered notoriety in the rock world when she brought out Guns N' Roses lead singer Axl Rose to join her in a cover of the band's classic anthem, "Welcome To The Jungle."

Underwood also recently impressed fans with a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's iconic power ballad, "Mama, I'm Coming Home."
