Carrie Underwood has some of the best legs in show business, so it’s no surprise that she has a routine for losing weight and keeping it off. After giving birth to two children, the country music star knew she wanted to lose weight, but also didn’t want to focus on “bouncing back,” rather she wanted to appreciate her body for what it could do.

And she certainly does a lot—Underwood has held a residency in Las Vegas in since 2021, and has already set more dates for 2024. Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency sees Carrie performing her hit songs like “Before He Cheats” and “Blown Away” clad in her classic pink, fringe, denim, and bedazzled outfits, all of which she looks absolutely stunning in. Carrie Underwood Reflects On Food Journalling

One of the tools that the "Jesus Take The Wheel" singer uses to keep a fit body is food journalling. Basically, she writes down everything she eats in a personal journal just to keep track. She told Cosmopolitan that she's kept a food journal since "forever," describing, "I'm a bottomless pit, and I can out-eat everyone I know.

"It's like there's no sensor between my stomach and my brain that says, 'Hey, you're full, stop eating!'" she explained. "Once I recognized that about myself, I started tracking my diet, which helps me make better choices and pay attention to what I'm eating." Carrie also follows a vegan diet, which has helped her make better food choices as well.

And it's not just food that she tracks in her journal. She also uses it to help her achieve her fitness goals, explaining, "I also write down which exercises I'm going to do later."

Carrie Underwood On Weight Lifting

Eve Overland, Carrie Underwood's trainer, revealed that Carrie follows a workout plan that incorporates a lot of strength training. "[We] have a laugh when we say we like to focus on 'vanity muscles'—muscle groups that pop and are show-stopping when she is on stage performing or on the red carpet." Another one of her trainers, Erin Oprea, told People that Carrie's famous toned legs are made from lunges, calling them the "one thing I find so absolutely useful."

Carrie's also not afraid of a hard workout. "She's also always up for a challenge and loves to push her body," Overland explained. "She continues to grow by trying new things and practices until it is mastered. She never ceases to amaze me."

And Carrie's husband, former NHL player Mike Fisher, is a fan of her routine as well. Underwood told Women's Health: "He was like, 'you're, like, a more pleasant person to be about when you have a workout in the morning.' And I was like, 'I know! I feel better!'"
