Carrie Underwood caused quite a stir among her fans last month. The 41-year-old “Before He Cheats” singer posted new photos on Instagram on September 13th, delighting her 13.2 million followers with shots of her and her husband, Mike Fisher, enjoying a day of fly fishing in Montana. The “Last Name” hitmaker flashed a wide grin as she proudly displayed the fish she caught. Underwood sported a cozy blue sweatshirt, athletic pants, and a baseball cap, her blonde hair styled into two charming braids.

Fans quickly flocked to the comments section, many admitting they barely “recognized” the American Idol judge at first glance. Recently, double board-certified and fellowship-trained facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Renata Khelemsky, who has not treated Underwood, spoke with Life & Style about the “enhancements” and “procedures” she believes Underwood may have recently undergone.

Carrie Underwood Might've Went Under The Knife Recently, According To Plastic Surgeons

According to the expert, the country superstar might "have made some subtle enhancements to her lower facial silhouette." Underwood, as fans know, suffered a serious facial injury in a 2017 accident that necessitated over 40 stitches. Since then, Khelemsky said she thinks the "Some Hearts" performer recently had "light chemical peel or laser resurfacing treatments" since her skin is "absolutely radiant."

Dr. Dennis Schimpf, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Charleston, SC, concurred. Though he did not personally treat Underwood, he recently evaluated her look during an interview with the same outlet. As for her "glowing" and "healthy" complexion, the doctor believed this can be attributed to "medical grade skin care products along with laser treatments or peels to continue to stimulate new healthy skin growth and repair skin damage secondary to the sun, natural aging, and climate."

As for Underwood's jawline and chin looking "different" lately according to fans, Schimpf shared that these areas could've been "dramatically improved, most likely due to jawline and chin fillers to give that sharp, defined appearance, which she did not have prior." He went on: "her neck appears smaller, possibly due to liposuction of the neck further improving her jawline and chin region."

Dr. Ramtin Kassir, MD, another distinguished facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon with triple board certification, shared with Life & Style that the alleged adjustments made to Underwood, whom he has not treated, are subtle and maintain her natural appearance.

Kassir noted that they don't look "overly drastic" in his opinion. He also explained that "the increased fullness in Carrie's upper lip, particularly when she smiles, suggests she may have had lip fillers to enhance volume in a natural way."

Underwood has remained silent regarding fans' enhancement rumors, allegations of surgery, or comments from plastic surgeons.
