Carrie Underwood took our breath away when she performed at the 89th Annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 1st. The 38-year-old country crooner ensured that all eyes were on her as she wore a stunning festive-inspired red dress which featured a sequin top half and a voluminous tulle midi skirt, and we think she looked sensational!
The Grammy-winner finished her look off with some matching red heels, and statement sparkly drop earrings. She performed “Let There Be Peace” taken from her hit 2020 Christmas album, “My Gift,” followed by a beautiful rendition of the classic, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.” The star-studded event also featured performances from the likes of Alessia Cara, Brad Paisley, Harry Connick Jr., and Pentatonix, and was hosted by Today co-anchors Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and Craig Melvin.
The "Before He Cheats" musician's enviable blonde locks were styled in a silky down do, which came complete with a soft and subtle wave. This outfit is the epitome of Christmas sartorial goals; are we right? A voluminous ballgown style dress is very typical for Carrie (if it ain't broke…) but we have to admit that we have loved the more daring, skintight, flesh-flashing pieces she has been experimenting with over the past few months too.
We still haven't recovered from her AMAs performance last month, for which she wore a black plunging dress with a seriously high slit; or even the skintight plunging black catsuit she teased her fans with for the promo of her upcoming Las Vegas "Reflection" show. Whether she's wearing gorgeous gowns or racy, skintight ensembles, the "Jesus, Take The Wheel" singer always seems to get it right when she's on stage or on the red carpet, and we will forever be in awe of her music and her style!
