The “Before He Cheats” hitmaker captioned her post: “Can’t wait for Sunday nights starting in September!” And to say her fans were excited about the announcement would be a huge understatement…
“Can’t wait,” one fan wrote, followed by four alternating fire and red heart emojis. “Beautiful and stunning as always,” added another, with various emojis including the heart eyes and fire emoji. “You look amazing, as usual,” added another fan, among a sea of apt emojis. “Beautiful picture,” another fan wrote, followed by the camera emoji, before adding “beautiful outfit!” followed by the red heart and fire emojis.

The American Idol alum also teased fans with the news about her upcoming tenth season on the show by posting a video of some of her past show openers, starting with a clip of her in the studio singing the show’s theme, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night.” (Although the aforementioned track is perhaps the most famous and the one that has been used the most, the show also previously used “Oh, Sunday Night” from 2016 to 2018, and an original song titled “Game On” in 2018. Fun little football fact for you!)
“10 years and we’re still going strong, @snfonnbc! See you Sunday nights beginning in September!” the “If I Didn’t Love You” singer captioned the post from August 5th, followed by a very apt football emoji. The official SNF Instagram also shared the same video, and captioned it: “We’re getting set to celebrate 10 years of @carrieunderwood and Sunday Night Football. Relive some of the best moments as we get closer to kickoff this fall.” Not long to go!
