The 11th Annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, a gala that celebrates scientists, was this weekend, and prominent celebrities, including reality stars, award-winning actors, musicians, billionaires, etc., showed up dressed to the nines. A handful of big names were extra attention-grabbing on the red carpet, as they wore some stunning, sequined dresses and gowns that gave them an extra sparkle and set them apart. Paris Hilton
The Simple Life star looked more elegant than ever in a long, black, sequined gown created by British fashion designer Jenny Packham.
The gown had long, sheer sleeves with extra fabric, creating a gorgeous 'trumpet sleeve' effect. Other than the see-through sleeves, the rest of the gown was covered in black sequins, making it an eye-popping yet timeless look.
Paris had her signature blonde locks pinned into a dramatic updo with two face-framing front pieces, and wore a complex diamond choker necklace. Her red carpet look must've had many of her loyal fans saying, "That's hot."
Kate Hudson
The Knives Out actress wore a breathtaking sheer sequined gown from Elie Saab Haute Couture that was a little risque yet graceful at the same time.
The base of the long gown was a sheer flesh-colored material, while the rest of it was covered in carefully placed silver and gold sequins which ran down the length of the off-shoulder dress.
She accessorized her dress with a funky pair of dangling earrings and dramatic dark eye makeup to balance out the light, shimmery ensemble. Kate and her styling team certainly channeled 'Hollywood glamour' and executed her look perfectly.
Katy Perry
The "Firework" vocalist arrived on the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony red carpet after announcing her exciting space news with some extra va-va-voom in an impressive form-fitting beaded dress that made her shine extra bright.
The dress, designed by Gaurav Gupta Couture, was covered in what must've been thousands of shiny silver beads that created a sleek streaky pattern. Its plunging shape wrapped around Katy's neck and had revealing cutouts near her chest and hips that covered just enough.
Part of the look was a matching headpiece that made everything flow cohesively and still allowed for styled pieces of Katy's signature black hair to poke through. Her mesmerizing dress was paired with pretty, minimalistic makeup and nude-colored nails to keep all eyes on the reflective beads.
Jessica Chastain
The Oscar winner was a vision in a bejeweled Gucci gown that kept her sparkling while maintaining a classic and traditional glamorous look.
The white dress, which included a small cutout above her waist, sparkled with different kinds of diamonds and gems running down the skirt and underneath her chest. She paired the sparkly gown with silver platform heels and various diamond accessories, from dangly earrings to a large diamond ring.
Staying true to the brand, Jessica held a Gucci clutch. Her red hair was softly curled and swept to the side to showcase the backless gown's silver trim.
