Celebrities are notorious for their green juices. Not only do they make for a healthy alternative for breakfast, but health and fitness experts say that a good green juice can work wonders for your metabolism.

“If you’re putting the right stuff in your green juice, exercising and eating well-balanced meals, it can help jumpstart your metabolism and promote weight loss,” New York-based nutritionist Regina Fazzini tells SheFinds. “Spinach, kale, apples, avocados, celery–if it’s green and filled with vitamins and nutrients, it can get your metabolism revved and help you burn calories throughout the days.”

So, what are the secret recipes that make up the coveted green drinks of celebrities like Blake Lively, Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow? Actually, they’re not a secret! Here are the green juices that your favorite celebs swear by to speed up their metabolisms in the morning:

Blake Lively

“A few years ago, I had a juice that changed it all for me—a mix that’s better than any po’ boy you’ll ever eat,” Lively says. “Vegetables in their purest form are refreshing and palate-cleansing, while the sweet notes of the fruits and mint make this both quenching and intoxicating. Now I can get my dose of veggies in a delicious way.”

Her go-to recipe includes

1 cup kale
2 Swiss chard leaves
1/2 cup parsley
1/2 small beet
1/2 cup pineapple
2 green apples (use red for sweeter flavor)
1 sprig fresh mint
1/2 lemon, peeled

Cindy Crawford

The iconic model credits her figure to the Urban Remedy 4-day cleanse, which follows a "food as medicine" philosophy featuring a mostly raw and vegan eating plan centered around whole-foods and juices.

One of Crawford's favorite recipes is The Green Juice, which calls for:

7 stalks celery
½ cucumber
¼ bunch parsley
3 stems kale
½ head romaine lettuce
3–4 cups spinach

Gwyneth Paltrow

For Gwyneth, she prefers a green juice that's filled with calcium and antioxidants. She says that her "Best Green Juice" recipe works better than a cup of coffee in the morning to get her energized!

Ingredients:

5 large leaves of kale, ribs discarded, leaves roughly chopped
1 lemon, zest and pith removed
1 large apple, roughly chopped
A 2.5cm piece of fresh ginger
1 sprig of fresh mint

Jennifer Lopez

J.Lo loves a good green juice from Kaeng Raeng, a natural juice cleanse program. Meghan Markle

What does the royal-to-be use to make her green juice? Instead of reaching for a cup of joe in the morning, she prefers a green juice filled with apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger.

"If I blend some apple, kale, spinach, lemon, and ginger in my Vitamix in the morning and bring it to work, I always find that sipping on that is a much better boost than a cup of espresso," she says

Nikki Reed

The actress swears by a green juice from RAW Organics. Each juice is made from fresh fruits & vegetables and delivers nourishing vitamins and metabolism-boosting minerals to help get your day started.
