When Céline Dion revealed her diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome back in 2022, she made the difficult decision to cancel all of her tour dates to focus on her health, so many fans have taken to watching old videos of her performing. One video in particular, from 8 years ago, has resurfaced and gone viral again. In the video, Céline is singing “The Prayer” with Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, which got fans pretty emotional, leaving comments of well wishes and support. Keep reading for more information.

Decades-Old Video Of Céline Dion Singing ‘The Prayer’ Resurfaces

This video in particular was shot live in Central Park in 2011. It has garnered over 213M views over the past 8 years, and 1.3M likes. In the video, the pair sing with so much emotion, that it brings some fans to tears. What they didn’t anticipate then, though, was how applicable the lyrics would be to Cèline’s health battle years later.

“We ask that life be kind,” they sang together at one point.

“Need to find a place, guide us with your grace, give us faith so we’ll be safe,” the refrain continues. “Let this be our prayer, let this be our prayer.”

Fans React To Céline Dion Singing 'The Prayer'

The comment section is filled with well wishes from fans, all sending prayers to Céline during this difficult time in her life. "As we hear Cèline sing," one person wrote, "please heal her sickness. Remember her in my prayer."

"Nobody! and I mean Nobody can do better than Cèline in performing this song," another person wrote. "She sang it with such effortless grace."

"Sending all my prayers to Cèline today," said a third user. "God please heal this talented woman."
