Celine Dion may have recently canceled her 2023 and 2024 Courage World Tour dates due to her ongoing health battle with stiff person syndrome, but that doesn’t mean we can’t rewatch her old concerts, listen to the classics on repeat, and of course, relive some of our favorite fashion moments. And one particularly iconic fashion moment we still can’t stop thinking about happened in August 2020, when the 55-year-old “The Power of Love” singer treated her 6M Instagram followers to some pictures of herself that were going to be featured on her Courage album.
The pictures show the “That’s The Way It Is” hitmaker flaunting her insane figure in a vintage gold bodysuit by Thierry Mugler. The futuristic bodysuit debuted on the Thierry Mugler Haute Couture Fall 1995 catwalk and was modeled by Nadja Auermann. It has since been worn by Irina Shayk on Glamour and 7Hollywood magazine covers, as well as Beyoncé in her 2009 “Sweet Dreams” music video, so it’s had quite a journey!

As per the captions on the posts the Canadian pop icon shared on Instagram back in August 2020, she was styled by Pepe Muñoz and Sydney Lopez for the stunning photoshoot, which was lensed by Paola Kudacki.
Celine’s hair was worn in a slick, pulled back down do, while her makeup, courtesy of Justin St Clair, was minimal yet flawless and glowing to complement the gold tones of the Thierry Mugler outfit.
Fan Comments
The comments section of both of Celine’s posts were understandably exploding with praise! “For the love of God this is a masterpiece,” praised one fan, while another said she was “absolutely stunning.” “Oh she did that,” gushed another fan, while a few others compared her to the Star Wars character, C-3PO. “C(eline)-3PO,” wrote one fan, while another joked, “I can’t believe you killed C-3PO for an outfit! This is Cruella de Vil all over again #RIPC3PO.” “You look fabulous in this!” exclaimed another fan, while another chimed in adding, “Gorgeous Ms Celine! You look amazing!”
And of course, the fact that Beyoncé wore the same bodysuit for “Sweet Dreams” didn’t go unnoticed either, with one fan writing, “BeyonDion,” and another saying, “Giving me sweet dreams vibes.” We love that vintage pieces have so many stories to tell! What other icon will wear this Mugler piece next, we wonder?!
