Who isn’t looking for quick and effective ways to keep their iPhone charge lasting longer? There’s nothing worse than realizing you need to hop on a FaceTime or Zoom call and then noticing how low your battery has dwindled and how it’s probably not going to carry you the distance. Unless you have a charger nearby at all times, this could quickly become a problem. But here’s one smart solution: keep a few good charging hacks in mind and pull them out whenever you need to extend the life of your battery. This is the one charging hack experts say will keep your iPhone battery running for days.
It’s not just your imagination, according to Tech Expert Caroline Lee at CocoSign.com. “Apple’s iPhones have always had notoriously low-powered, flimsy batteries that can’t support extended heavy use,” Lee says. “As a heavy user and idle gamer, I like to push my phone to its limits. Consequently, optimizing the battery charge is a priority, seeing as it provides much-needed juice to power the smartphone’s chipset.”
Lee has two favorite charging hacks that she says can extend the phone’s battery life for hours despite heavy usage.
“The first charge hack is turning off 4G (or 3G/5G),” Lee says. “The phone requires an unbelievable amount of charge for uploading and downloading data. You’d be surprised how much charge you save just by turning off phone data when you don’t use it. Open Settings > Tap Cellular > Off (for the Data Setting). Not using phone data will give you a few extra hours, at the very least.”
Since two hacks are always better than one, Lee offered up on more tip.
“The second charge hack is using low power mode (Settings > Battery),” Lee says. “Low power mode disables some visual effects and also minimizes or turns off several non-necessary smartphone functions that run in the background – like background refresh. This reduces the burden on the battery. You’ll have enough charge for days. I suggest turning on Low Power Mode all the time to keep your battery in top shape long-term.”
These charging hacks are simple to put into play and will make a world of difference in the longevity of your device’s battery.
