Charlize Theron looked incredible when she attended the 10th annual Town & Country Philanthropy Summit at Hearst Tower in New York City on Thursday, November 2nd. And she wore the most breathtaking Bottega Veneta power suit for the occasion. Trends will come and go, but it seems like the power suit is forever!

The South African Fast X actress, 48, was one of the dedicated activists that spoke at the summit, with the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, 76, being another one of the A-list speakers in his dark blue suit.

Charlize Theron Looks So Chic In Head-To-Toe Bottega Veneta

The Mad Max: Fury Road actress was also very clearly dressed for business thanks to her polished attire, which consisted of a Bottega Veneta felted wool cape jacket worn over a long-sleeved high-necked sweater, and the matching maxi skirt, which had a racy slit in the middle.

The Bombshell star accessorized her crisp look with some sky-scraping Bottega Veneta gold 'Atomic' mules on top of a pair of black socks, which made for the perfect contrast, and a Bottega Veneta medium Bauletto bag.

Her hair was pulled back in a sleek style to add to her smart, business aesthetic, and although the majority of her makeup was minimal (yet flawless!) she added a bold shade of red lipstick to add some color and drama to the look. We love how the addition of the gold mules, which are an unexpected choice for business attire, and a bold red lip have really elevated this look!

Charlize Theron Talks About Her Philanthropic Work At The Summit

The mom-of-two spoke about a variety of topics at the summit, including motherhood and her philanthropic work. She reflected on starting the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project back in 2007, and said: "I always knew that I wanted to be of service, but I also didn't want to inadvertently become a burden. Celebrities can sometimes suck a lot of energy out of the room. In this work, you have to keep the focus on how are you serving the best and [ask] how are you economically doing this in a way where it has a bigger effect?"

"Our governments and outside institutions forgot about our young people, who were healthy and who had their whole lives ahead of them," the Snow White and the Huntsman actress continued. "We started meeting with grassroots organizations that are in the trenches doing the work every single day. We listened and what we heard was, 'We know what to do, but we just need the resources to do it.' And I thought, Oh wait, I can do that. That was really clear to me: I can do this and not get in the way."

Theron also spoke about how there is a direct correlation between her philanthropic work and her work as an actress. "I'm so lucky that I work in a business where I'm a storyteller because a lot of philanthropy is about storytelling," the Young Adult star said. "If you can tell a story properly, then [that's] where it connects with people. It's one of the hardest [challenges] I have encountered in philanthropy: Making it personal, asking somebody to care about something that's so far away from them that they don't know. That's only through storytelling and finding that one story that you can share with somebody that makes them connect."
