During a Zoom interview with her co-star Kiki Layne, Theron told Extra about her experiences during quarantine: "I'm doing really well and my family is safe, thank God."
However, Theron, like many parents, is having a tough time with her kids' education and the challenges of homeschooling.
When the interviewer asked how her kids were handling homeschooling, the actress joked, "You should be asking me how I'm handling homeschooling."
Apparently, her kids have some criticism of their own for their mom-turned-teacher.
Theron's 7-year-old, Jackson, did not hold back when criticizing her mom's teaching.
The actress explained, "It turns out I'm not a very good math teacher. That's what Jackson says anyway."
She continued, "That was a very profound moment in my life, when she just turned to me at some point and said to me, 'Mom, I don't think you're very good teaching this.'"
Homeschooling her children--and worrying about failing as a teacher--was a huge point of stress for Theron.
"For me, that was the most stressful thing because as a parent, I felt this responsibility to make sure my children weren't falling behind in their education," she said.
