In the presence of The Prince and Princess of Wales, alongside Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Cher added a touch of elegance to her onstage ensemble. She incorporated a white button-down shirt beneath her corset for a semi-formal look.
Paired with studded black leggings that accentuated her long, toned legs, she completed the look with black platform boots, fingerless gloves, a choker, and her iconic long jet-black hair flowing down in mermaid waves.
But that's not all, four dazzling backup dancers adorned in tinsel dresses joined her on stage for an epic performance.
The broadcast of The Royal Variety Performance is scheduled for December 17, and this year's show pledges to feature 'international stars, world-class theatre, and sensational, hilarious comedy' with the distinguished attendance of royal members.
Cher Talks About 'Losing Money' In Her Career
Since her debut album in 1965, Cher has amassed millions in record sales and garnered a multitude of awards. Her career might seem picture-perfect, but in a conversation with Vernon Kay on BBC Radio 2's 'Tracks of My Years,' she revealed a surprising incident which she says cost her a lot of money.
The 'Believe' hitmaker revealed that she never requested a songwriting credit for 'Believe,' probably her most iconic hit ever, even though she contributed lyrics to key parts of the song. During her conversation with Kay, she shared that she revised a lyric in the second verse to give it a more empowering tone and less of a downcast feel.
"I wrote, ‘I’ve had time to think it through, and maybe I’m too good for you,’” she said. “This is what I was thinking: ‘A chick can be upset for one verse, but not for two. Not on one of my songs."
Cher's name is noticeably absent from the songwriting credits, in which she adds, “I was so stupid … I didn’t ask, I could’ve gotten a lot of money.”
