Chick-fil-A dropped a new limited edition sandwich back in August of this year, and as it heads towards the end of its reign on the menu, customers have taken their stances on whether or not the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich is worth the hype or super overrated. Customers have made TikToks, started Reddit threads, and tweeted their thoughts and the consensus is: “such a waste of food.” Keep reading for more information.

Chick-fil-A Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich

The limited edition edition sandwich was dropped by Chick-fil-A on Aug. 15th of this year, and though the fast food chain hasn't confirmed anything, many customers have been reporting that their location no longer sells the sandwich anymore, meaning the sandwich is headed out the door.

The Chick-fil-A website describes it as a combination of "classic Chick-fil-A flavors with a sweet and subtly spicy kick." It includes an original Chick-fil-A filet, custom made creamy pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños, and a warm, honey-drizzled toasted bun.

The star of the new sandwich is obviously the pimento cheese sauce. Here's what the chain has to say about it: "Custom-made by Chick-fil-A, the combination of sharp cheddar cheese, green chilis and red pimentos work together to create a savory, melty spread." Sounds pretty good to us!

Customers Debate Over Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich

One TikToker that definitely took the "not a fan" stance is Autumn Noelle, who dedicated an entire video to expressing her distaste with the new menu item. "I don't know why I thought it would be a good idea to try the new Chick-fil-A sandwich," she says as she opens her sandwich on camera. "Worst mistake ever. It was so nasty, it was cold, it was gross."

And others on X, formerly known as Twitter, agreed. "I wasn't impressed!" one person tweeted.

"Nothing special," agreed another customer.

"The cheese was gross," another person added. "And since they pile it on there, the whole thing sucked. It was a waste of food."

"I love pimento cheese but what they put in this sandwich sucks," one person reported. "No flavor and runny."

"Tried it... not a fan," wrote another customer.

"No I can't do pimento cheese on a chicken sandwich," another agreed.

But, there were plenty of people on the other side, who raved about the sandwich and wish it was a permanent edition to the chain's menu. One TikToker gave the sandwich an 8.2/10, which is pretty good considering how tough the critic is. User @1HourLunchBreak rates sandwiches and other items every day for lunch, so his palate is wide. The video has a staggering 2M views, with over 177.8K likes and over 600 comments.

"Just had it," one of the many comments reads. "It's worth it 100%!"

"Delicious," another person agreed.

"It's so good," one customer said. "Do it with the spicy filet and it's sooo much better!!!"

Users on X agreed as well: "It’s delicious!" one person tweeted. "Though you’ll need extra napkins."

"This sandwich is incredibly good," another person said.

"It was really good. No longer on the menu here," a sad fan said, adding a multitude of crying emoji's.

"Absolutely the best thing on their menu," another person agreed.

"An unexpected chick fil a dub," a final fan tweeted.
