The Chick-Fil-A website what safety precautions the chain has taken in preparation of reopening, "including plexiglass partitions and hand sanitizer stations available for [customer] use."
These measures are meant to keep customers and employees safe.
The restaurants will also make changes to enforce proper social distancing.
The statement continued, "Restaurants will provide contactless ordering and ask Guests to practice social distancing as they wait in line. Look for signage to help you navigate any operational changes within our restaurants."
In making these updates, Chick-Fil-A has specified that they will be prioritizing safety and basing their decisions on relevant health guidelines: "Our restaurants put the health of Guests and Team Members first and continue to follow relevant state and local health guidelines. In all of these changes, Safe Service is our first priority."
More recently, the company announced ways it will be giving back to the community during this time.
In a May 21 statement, Chifk-Fil-A announced, "For every new restaurant we open, we donate to a local food bank through our partnership with Feeding America. More than ever, food banks are experiencing a strain in resources due to COVID-19."
