Looks like we can add Chick-Fil-A to the list of fast food restaurants that are increasing their menu prices, much to the dismay of customers. While Chick-Fil-A is known to be one of the more high quality fast food places, customers are reporting that a meal from the chain costs them “$15,” which is just unreasonable for fast food.

One thing that *could* be driving the price up is their new high-tech cups. User @Aiyannace on TikTok dedicated a video to these new cups, and while she did say that “it was a good quality cup,” many customers were just fine with the old cup—and lower prices. Keep reading for more information.

Could Chick-Fil-A Price Increases Be Because Of Their New Cup?

Corporations like McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, and more are citing the increased minimum wage, supply chain issues, and a number of other reasons for their increased menu prices. But many users are agreeing with TikTok user Aiyanna’s theory: their new cups.

Chick-Fil-A told the U.S. Sun all about their new insulated cups: “The double-wall technology has thermal qualities and extra-durability which ensures cold beverages will stay chilled longer than our current single-wall paper cup and our PET plastic cups,” they explained.

But Aiyanna, and other TikTok users, are not impressed. Aiyanna’s video now has over 807.8K views on TikTok, and has racked up 119.2K likes and over 500 comments. In the video, she shows the new cup and says, “So I’m trying to figure out why the f*** my Chick-Fil-A was $15 million dollars today,” exaggerating, but getting her point across.

“And it’s this f***ing cup!” she says. “Didn’t nobody ask for no three-in-one compartment, Game of Thrones cup!”

Chick-Fil-A has not confirmed whether or not they are charging more for their new cups.

Customers Complain Of High Prices And Small Portions

In Aiyanna's comment section, users shared their thoughts on the new cups and the increased prices. "Yes, I stopped goin cause it's $15 a meal now," one person wrote.

"I miss the styrofoam cups!" another customer said.

"And I feel like that cup give you less drink than the regular cup," one user said.

"Check the bottom too," wrote one customer. "They are charging more and giving less."

"CHICK-FIL-A TOO OVERPRICES WE GOTTA HUMBLE THEM!" said one enthusiastic customer.

"I had the same reaction!" agreed another user.

"They should've made it into an option to purchase that version of their cup," one person said.

But others, including Aiyanna, pointed out that at least it is a really good quality cup. Aiyanna captioned her video,"It was a good quality cup ngl," and another user wrote. "I got water in that cup, so I reused it for my ice espresso coffee for like two days after. That is indeed a good quality cup."

"They cups keep your drink cold all day long tho," said another person.

"Nah the old cup would fall apart," agreed a final fan.
