Finding a decent chain restaurant that perfects the combination of delicious food and a reliable wait staff isn’t always an easy feat. That’s why people line up to get to Chili’s. The popular chain never fails to provide patrons with an extensive menu of tasty food, good drinks, and a friendly wait staff – and bottomless chips and salsa!

But, there’s one thing that Chili’s employees find to be quite irritating when taking orders from customers. This thing is not intended to be an annoyance, but these employees hear it so often that it’s become too much for them.
Think you know what it is? We’ll give you a hint: it has to do with the future of their jobs…
If you've been to a Chili's recently, you know that each table has a tablet that allows you to browse the menu, place orders, and pay your bill. This new system makes the waiters' lives so much easier by decreasing the time they spend bouncing around to different tables asking if patrons need anything else.
"A lot of people say to me, 'Oh, they're getting a computer to take your job!' or, 'Oh, this must stink for you guys.' Actually, I love the computer system, especially when it comes to paying with your credit card, because then I don't have to take the card from the table, keep track of it, and make sure that nothing goes wrong," an employee told Cosmopolitan about her biggest customer pet peeve. "It's very safe and secure for you to keep it at the table and then you don't have to wait to sign or anything. People say to me, 'Oh, you must hate this!' and I'm like, 'Not really!'"
