Chipotle Just Made A Huge Announcement & People Are Freaking Out!

Chipotle has made a new change to its offering in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. As many people know, restaurants in several states are no longer permitted to serve dine-in guests to promote social distancing practices, and therefore can only rely on take-out services. Well, to make matters more convenient for its customers, Chipotle has started free delivery on all orders.

The free delivery promotion is running from now until March 31, and is valid on all orders of $10 or more placed through the company’s app or website. Deliveries will also come in a new, tamper-evident packing seal to ensure food is untouched upon arrival.

Chipotle introduced a new delivery tracker so you can follow step-by-step updates on your order in real time and know exactly when your order can get to you. Plus, customers can leave special instructions to their delivery drivers to limit direct contact for extra precautionary measures.

"Our Delivery Kitchen is like a Chipotle within a Chipotle, preparing real, fresh, personalized bowls and burritos solely for digital guests," Chris Brandt, Chipotle's Chief Marketing Officer, said in a press statement. "Chipotle is the first brand to scale this concept nationally with over 2,500 restaurants featuring the unique set-up for digital orders, and our March Free Delivery offer is the perfect opportunity to experience the Delivery Kitchen."

The company is still allowing people to pick up orders at a Chipotle location, for those who prefer to do so. Chipotle has drive-through lanes called Chipotlanes that allow people to pick up their mobile orders curbside, without needing to leave the car.
